Orthodontics (Braces and Clear Aligners)
Beginning with an initial consultation, we work to provide you with the ideal plan and services that will yield the best results possible. The initial consultation is essentially to determine if braces or clear aligners are needed and if you are ready to begin treatment.

Once it is decided that you are ready to begin treatment a second appointment is scheduled for taking dental impressions, x-rays and photographs. From these records a full treatment plan is formulated and reviewed with the patient and family.

Appointments are then scheduled to begin with the placement of braces or clear aligners. Appointments for braces are usually once a month and every 6 weeks for clear aligners. Each month changes gradually take place until you have the perfect smile you are looking for.

With preventive maintenance and regular dental appointments, our professional staff will help you keep your teeth for a lifetime. Since we want to help you maintain a healthy smile for a lifetime, you can visit

Tooth Colored Fillings
There are various filling materials available in the dental industry. Silver fillings are still used but to a much lesser extent. Dr. LaFlair mainly does the composite or tooth colored type of fillings for cosmetic reasons and because they do not contain mercury. In certain cases if a tooth cannot be kept dry for the bonding procedures required for a tooth colored filling then a silver filling might have to be done to save the tooth.

Cosmetic Procedures
We offer bonding and veneers, available to lighten and reshape your teeth, providing you with perfectly contoured teeth that look and feel natural. Many cases of crowded teeth or teeth with spaces between them can be treated with bonding or veneers.

Crowns for Implants
An implant is a titanium post that is placed in an area for someone who is missing a tooth or several teeth. Once a specialist places the implant, we then are able to place a crown onto the implant. The implant can then function like a natural tooth. If several teeth are missing a bridge (several crowns connected together) can be made to connect the implants. We have several specialists we refer to for the placement of the implants and will coordinate your treatment to obtain outstanding functional and cosmetic results.

Crowns
If you have a large filling or tooth that has broken, often times the tooth will need a crown for extra strength. There are various types of crowns including porcelain with a precious metal substructure or metal free options as well. Non-precious metal crowns can be done as well but we do not offer this type of crown since there is a greater risk for allergic reactions. We try to provide only the best dental materials so your treatment will not only look great but last for a long time. Crowns typically take two appointments one for the shaping and impression and one for the fitting of the crown.

Bridges
A bridge is made of the same type of materials as the crowns mentioned above but involves a missing tooth. If you are missing a front tooth for example a crown is done on the two teeth on each side of the space. We “bridge” the space and in essence do three crowns that are all connected together to replace the missing tooth.

Root Canal Treatment
One of the most feared sayings is if the dentist says “root canal.” A root canal in most cases is not painful and usually takes a few visits to complete. The inner part of the tooth is hollow and that is where the nerve and blood supply of the tooth is located. When a root canal is done the inner portion of the tooth is cleaned and shaped in one visit and then sealed or filled on the second visit.

Many patients, who put off dental treatment for fear, often end up needing a root canal because the cavity got larger and infected the nerve of the tooth. These people usually are in pain when they come to the dentist and may having swelling present from an abscess. Dr. LaFlair does root canal treatment in a way to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure and to increase the long-term success of the tooth.
